It’s true.

I had to attend a referee clinic tonight in Brantford, something for my dormant part-time job; though I have to stop working there in order to have the time I need for school and studies, being a referee at Ball Hockey International isn’t so bad a thing.

So we went to Brantford to hear a clinic on safety, judgement, and more. But the highlight of the night for me was the instructor commenting that we should stick together: “We don’t have anyone else — police are respected, firemen are adored, and referees are despised.” At which point I swear that my boss glanced over at me and smiled…

Cos let’s be honest, some of the clientele made it clear over the last season that they don’t agree with some of my calls.
