“The Longest Highway Home.”

Hamilton act The Reason are back on the scene. Bumped back to a late August release — after originally targeting early July — their long-anticipated album Fools will be released this Tuesday.

NOTE: act now and you can stream the record in its entirety on Muchmusic.com

or on the band’s Myspace profile.

I was able to speak to front man Adam White last week, and he was telling me that the record is the product of a long process, a long journey to get to this point. That journey is evident in the work itself, with the songs and a narrative flowing in order from one track to the next… but the quality of the work is outstanding.

My interview with Adam will appear sometime in the near future in Interrobang, the student voice newspaper at Fanshawe College — provided I get accepted into the work study as a student writer again. Otherwise, I will have to establish some other vehicle for the story, because it is definitely going to be one worth reading.
