The Project Kid Returns.
Sigh… I do it to myself all the time — take on so many projects that I get swamped under the mass and next to no rest. I haven’t looked into it or anything, but I think it’s especially bad in the summer… feels like I’ve written about this sort of thing before.
Happily, I will have no job through the school year (with the hopeful exception of writing my music column for Interrobang every week), but I will be keeping very busy; in addition to regularly appearing as a music correspondent on a weekly television show, and contributing to an online design blog (details later), I am auditioning on Monday to be a part of a band.
So sadly, I’ve been neglecting blogging and skateboarding, instead working and renovating around the house. Also, I’ve abandoned the idea of archiving my catalogue of music columns here on my blog, but because I’ve got to do a redesign of my personal website — for which I’ve registered the address bobbyfoley.ca.
Luckily (though unfortunately), my time writing for Interrobang on a summer work study is nearing its end. In two weeks time, I’ll have finished all my articles, banked all my stories for the year, and hopefully gotten out before editing of the orientation issue has begun. Once finished, I’ll be spending my days catching up on projects before school begins again in September. And re-familiarizing myself with blogging and the nuances of this little site of mine. And the most important project of all — sleep.
If you’ve read this far, you may be disappointed in the waste of your time. I just felt like indulging, it’s been some time since I wrote only for myself, that simple act of thinking out through my fingertips and into a text field. Content, and hopefully something of interest, is coming soon.
