When asked why … he thinks this run will be more successful than his previous seven – Kasiurak sounded a note of confidence.

“I believe it’s just right,” he said. “I just have this feeling. Of course, I have this feeling all the time.”

The joke-cracking would-be politician earned 1,905 votes, or less than 2% of ballots cast, in the 2006 mayoral race.

This time, however, is different, Kasiurak says.

“I just had a feeling – you get these feelings, you know?” he said. “I have that real good gut feeling.”
