Typographic Poster.

I had an assignment recently whereby I had to digitally illustrate an oxymoron using only type. At first it seemed like an impossible task, something unthinkable, but over the course of sketching over the following weeks it became a little easier. I came up with two that I liked a lot, and I carried them through all their sketches and to the end.

“Civil War”

“Gentle Turbulence.”

In the end I could choose only one, so I went with the second — it’s the one I had the most fun with. Word is still out on how I did on the assignment, but I do very much enjoy playing with typography.
