Johnny (Felice San Valentino).

Here’s hoping that all of you are having a great Valentine’s day, and Family Day weekend. For Nicole and I, it’s been an especially great weekend for the fact that last night, we got to see John Mayer in concert here in London at the John Labatt Centre.

The show was absolutely incredible, a performance of a lifetime. One particular highlight came mid-way through his set, when the band took a leave and he performed a couple of songs solo on his Monterrey-edition Hendrix Strat (pictured below), which is just a beautiful guitar… frankly, there’s nothing I love more than a killin guitarist playing a Stratocaster.

Without a doubt an amazing show, an amazing talent, and a pleasure to see live at every opportunity. The only thing is that every time I see him play I experience a slight but unmistakable twinge of anger and jealousy, due to the fact that he’s the one onstage living out his dream of music and I’m not. I need people interested in hearing me play… which frankly I think I’m going to do for the rest of the evening.
