Laugh for Wellspring.
I know I have precious little free time as it is, but all the same, at the start of July I auditioned for and joined an improv comedy group here in London called F For Fantastic.
The group has been active for a few years, and I’ve been attending rehearsals near every Wednesday and Friday afternoons in anticipation of the newest lineup’s debut performance August 15th at Laugh for Wellspring.
The Laugh for Wellspring show is a benefit variety show in support of Wellspring, a network of community support centres in Ontario, Alberta, and Nova Scotia. Wellspring offers support and counsel for people diagnosed with cancer, and has many programs for the benefit of them and their families. Our show, is going to raise funds in support of Wellspring and its endeavours.
I am honoured to say that I’ve been selected to host the event, and alongside musical acts Revolution Runners and Kilworth, performances by F For Fantastic and stand-up comedian Darrin Rose headlining, I will be onstage here in London to assist in making a night to remember in support of a very worthy cause.
Doors open at 6:30 pm, and we begin at 7:00 pm. The show will be featured at the Wolf Performance Hall in London’s Central Library, downtown London at 251 Dundas St (near Wellington). This show is organized by and a production of All Kinds of Talent Entertainment, managed by Christian Harter.
Admission is $10, and amongst other attractions there will be a silent auction with proceeds going to Wellspring. Tickets are available primarily through performers, so let me know how many you might want and I will be sure to set them aside for you. I really do hope to see you there.
