On The Hour.

Vodpod videos no longer available.

My drive back to London this evening allowed me an opportunity to listen to The Strombo Show (the whole trip, picking up on Toronto and London stations… syndication is grand), which I feel is always a very solid listen.

On the show, he often plays clips from interviews with guests from The Hour, and this week, he played an excerpt from his recent interview with Christopher Hitchens. Obviously, I’ve heard at length about this author, beginning with word on Slava’s site about his books working their way into what he’s been reading, but I haven’t been drawn in to any degree to check out what he’s about.

So admittedly, I knew next to nothing about the man or his work, and I liked it that way, but hearing this bit of his interview on The Hour actually went a long way toward humanizing him in my eyes. I think it was a great interview, and I urge you check it out in the video above.
