Lessons learned.

Erica is sleeping now, softly breathing in the next room. This is her first weekend with us in London, and it’s been a fantastic – if not tiring – time.

What I’m finding most about her in all the time we’re spending together lately is that she’s among the most considerate people I’ve ever known… Nicole had to practice for a while this morning, using Erica’s room (like always).

Not long into the practice, Erica turned to me and said that “we should thank Nicole for her singing when she’s done.” And then a little later than that, she put a small hand on me and said, “Nicole’s a great singer.”

“You should tell her that.”

“You should tell her that, too.”
