Erica Day.

So this week I didn’t bother taking any photos, cos the gloominess cast over the town of Chatham made it far too dark in her house to get any photos. However, the highlights of the visit for me would have to be .:

  • Erica closing her eyes tight and rubbing her belly happily with every bite of applesauce mixed with Goldfish crackers (cos I told her it was a weird combo)
  • Erica leading me to a red tempered Christmas ball on her tree and referring to it repeatedly as the Golden Snitch
  • creating our own Lite Brite design – a Christmas tree with ornaments and presents underneath
  • turning our ordinary game of catch into something more reminiscent of a tryout for a major league baseball outfit, including rotations, squats, and being told to go faster and faster…

And finally, topping it all off by revealing to her that next week, we’re going to have a day trip here in London instead of just a few hours together in Chatham. And she doesn’t know it yet, but Nicole picked up a kit to make a gingerbread house, so it’s going to be a day to remember for sure.
