“Speaking of Buster, it’s the craziest thing. I’ve had him for two years now, and he’s had no real purpose or anything around the apartment. I mean, he’s just never contributed in any way… until about a week ago.

“One of the living room windows is without a screen (cos he knocked it out in the Fall, incidentally), and the odd moth or flying beetle has flown in through the opening. And then, boom – he flies across the apartment and knocks this thing out of the air. Like the T-rex in Jurassic Park, he just goes nuts attacking the thing, I’m honestly very proud and impressed.

“You wouldn’t believe it, I’ve never seen him move so fast. He’s got the reflexes of a- oh, I guess that’s where that expression comes from.”
