“When I was a kid, I watched a movie with my parents in which someone died in their sleep, and it freaked me right out – I was afraid to go to sleep every night. I was like, ‘people just die in their sleep??’

“So yeah, I swear, I was always so scared of going to sleep at night, cos I didn’t understand and I figured it could be my turn at any time. But while it lasted, it was the greatest feeling in the mornings, cos when I woke up I was just beside myself with joy. ‘I’m alive!! I made it another day!'”
