The Julys.

Me, as drawn by the Simpsons avatar creator.Unlike Rachel, ‘the Julys’ have afflicted me in ways that leave me open to write and share; looking back on the month, I’ve surprised myself with just how much I’ve done over the month.

Having polished off The Order of the Phoenix last night before bed, I read three books over the month. Went to concerts, road trips to Toronto and Chatham, a slew of movies, wrecked a hotel room… I’ve been becoming more and more of a homebody over the years, so it’s weird to look back at accomplishing so much.

Anyway, I don’t mean this to go on too long, I’m going to go grab a bite and then maybe start my new book. My August resolution is to try to save money (and the climate!) by skating to work instead of riding the bus, so you’ll likely be hearing about that soon enough. And I’ll be working on the July edition of the Canvas series, but put off slightly by the fact that it’s a weekday… the month ended conveniently on the weekend last time, providing me all the time I needed. It’ll be up soon, and no doubt fantastic.

Cheers, everyone. Hope you’ve enjoyed your case of the Julys, it’s getting to be back-to-school time again…
