Midterms.
October 24, 2009I realize that I fell pretty quiet this past week, but in truth I can’t describe how busy I’ve been working on various projects for school. I had five different projects due this past week, with another few in the works. I’ve been going nearly non-stop, but managed to get through it.
Here’s a couple of quick photos of some things I’ve been working on of late.

This piece is both a) my quarter of a group piece, reimagining this work by artist David Merritt, and also b) the first sponge painting I’ve done in at least a decade, and probably far more.

This is a staging I did for a project I had, for which we had to create a sculpture out of tape. I created a sculpture of one of my guitars, and then suspended it from the tree in front of my building.
Add to that a few sketchbook assignments and these crazy typographic illustrations I had to do (which somehow, strangely, I didn’t take any photos of before handing in), and you might understand the all-nighters.
But Mom, if you’re reading, school is going well. I have some really good grades right now, and I’m trying to make sure to get lots of sleep. So don’t worry. Love you.
