“If I’m being honest, I think telling someone directly that you’re not going to kill them has to be a reassuring thought; the concept is quite novel, endearing. I mean, think about it… someone weighing the decision and coming to the conclusion that you’re worthwhile? It’s nice.
“Only in conversation, though. I mean, it has to be a natural sentiment, and should come up with due volition. You can’t just walk up to someone in the street and be all, ‘I’m not going to kill you,’ trust me.”
