I had a very nice surprise this morning… there I was, half asleep, morning coffee dutifully by my hand as I opened up my email to find this little message from Thom Cooke, drummer for the Brit-rock influenced Sproll.

So I took it upon myself to investigate the lads, and the results of my efforts prompt me to encourage you likewise. Though they claim on their myspace page to sound like the aforementioned bands, I think there’s more… they may be standing on the shoulders of giants, but everything I’ve heard of their EP Soft Science so far suggests that they’ve found their own sound.
